✅ Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup slivered or sliced almonds (for topping)
- Optional: additional sugar for sprinkling
👩🍳 Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk and almond extract.
- Add flour and salt gradually until dough comes together. Dough will be soft.
