INGREDIENTS :

For the dough:

150 g flour

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 sachet of baking powder of 7 g

120 g of caster sugar

2 eggs

6 cl of oil

10 cl of milk

3 apples

For the filling :

1 egg

80 g melted butter

100 g caster sugar

For the decoration :

60 g crushed toasted almonds

1 tbsp. powdered sugar

PREPARATION

1* In a bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar.

2* Add oil, milk, flour sifted with salt and yeast.

3* Mix all the ingredients to obtain a homogeneous paste.

4* Pour the batter into a buttered and floured rectangular pan.

5* Peel the apples and cut them into pieces.

6* Arrange the apple pieces on the dough.

7* Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes.

8* Mix the egg with the melted butter and the sugar.

9* Pour the mixture on the cake and put it back in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes so that it caramelizes and takes a nice golden color.

10* Let the cake cool before unmolding it.

11* Sprinkle the cake with crushed almonds and powdered sugar.

12* Good to know:

To enhance the flavor of the apples, sprinkle them with cinnamon before placing them on the dough.

Soak 80 g of raisins in water for 10 minutes, drain and mix with the apple pieces before garnishing the dough.
