My mom used to make the best meatloaf. She got the recipe from her mom, and then that was the one that I used for years and years. My husband always said it was good, and the kids ate it, so I figured they liked it as much as I did. One day, when we were eating that very meatloaf, my husband mentioned something about maybe trying something a little different with the meatloaf next time. He had heard about adding brown sugar to it. Well, that actually did sound pretty good.
I wanted to find a recipe to use because I didn’t want to mess up an entire meatloaf. That’s when I saw this one on All Recipes. The next time I did the meatloaf dinner, we tried it, and I don’t think there was single slice left in the pan.
This was by far way better than the meatloaf that I used to make. The brown sugar really gave it something extra and special. The flavor was incredible and it wasn’t any harder than the meatloaf I made for all those years before.
